Hello my beautiful people and welcome back to another Christian blog! It’s been two months since I’ve posted my last one. I’ve went on a long trip well spent to Maryland to see my best friend of 11 years. By the grace of God, I was able to learn a lot of thing during this journey. God has taught me that no matter what you do or how much fun you have, be sure to make time for Him. We all can lose track of His Glory and His instructions to follow His commends in life. Today, we are going to be talking about 1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV. It states Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? All in all, this verse talks about the works, the spirits and the judgement of our own efforts through God.

What we do should only be for God

As we partake into the verse 1 Corinthians 3:16, we have to take two things in consideration. First to say that we are God’s temple is to simply say our bodies are created by God’s intentions to protect our living spirits. Let’s say the food we eat are junk food, and the more we eat it, the more we end up having problems with our cholesterols, hearts, and our digestive systems. We gain so much weight, and it’s so difficult for us to get up and walk to the bathroom. Also, we have poor health since we don’t have enough vegetables or any source of healthy fibers or vitamins. Point is, eating junk food for years can deteriorate our health and decrease our life spans. Now God, He doesn’t want our body or temple so speak, to be filled with toxicity in our system. He intended to have our temples be filled with His Glory and pure health through eating the right kind of food and limiting our portions. God does not like gluttony or overconsumption simply because He wants us to live a long healthy life with the body or temple He created for us. So to keep in mind, our temples are literally and figuratively created by God so that we can have an option to either fill it with junk food or healthy food for our well beings. Now let’s say if we were extremely poor and have absolutely no food to eat. God understands the struggle, yet He wants our empty stomachs to be filled with His Glory and Spirit. It may be very challenging and painful since we do need to eat for energy. However, He wants us to understand the power of His Temple. We can fight off our fleshy desires, and instead rely on His Spirit. It’s a very hard example to emphasize in regarding to the lack of food in our stomachs, but the point is we’ll be amazed how powerful the Temple of God is, as long we let Him live in it. The second example as it pertains to the verse 1 Corinthians 3:16 is that God lives inside all of us. As long our temples are purified and healthily filled with God’s Glory, He’ll bless us. And He’ll continue to do so, as long we put in the work of love and faith. Some of us may not believe in God, but the charitable things we do for people, out of the goodness of our hearts, comes from God living inside of us. Right in our hearts, souls, and spirits. It’s a natural state of compassion created by the Most High, ensuring that we give back and create love or bond with other human beings every day. It’s the very reason why we naturally know what’s right or what’s wrong. It’s God living in us, and telling us so. Here’s one last example as to why it’s important to cherish our body or the temple of God. As humans, we love to fornicate or have sex before marriage since the temptation is too strong to resist. I’m sure you know it’s common in Christian’s belief to not have sex until marriage. The simple reason is because God understands that to have sex before marriage only creates heavier temptation in fornication with more people in the future. He understands once we have sex without the intention to marry, it corrupts the temple of His Glory. In other words, it corrupts His intention to create an everlasting bond with Him and that it may help guide our spirits be dedicated into one body and one temple. Simply put, to have sex with different people corrupts the idea of one body and one soul between a husband and a wife through Him. That’s why God wants all of us to be married to one person before sex. In doing so, the temple of His Spirit can prosper and give one pure Body and Spirit to the married couple. Now why do people get a divorce? It may be a tricky question but to be honest, it’s because they don’t put God in the center of the marriage and let Him live in their temples and spirits. We all need God’s guidance to purity. It’s the only way to keep our temples in tact with Him. He wants us to have a healthy temple that leads to a healthy life. That’s the beauty of the manifestation of a Pure Spirit.

Now are you ready to give up your old ways and start giving your life to God? Are you willing to keep our temples pure by eating healthy and having sex AFTER marriage? Feel free to comment, Shalom!
