Hello my beautiful people, it’s Monday and some of you may be moody because it’s the first day of work week. Well, I hope we can change that mood by talking about the bible verse of the day. Galatians 5 verse 6 states: For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Essentially this verse means we should always have a pure love for God despite what our hearts are feeling at the moment. Let’s talk about it down below and, hopefully it’ll ease up our Monday moods.

WHAT IS AN Uncircumcised Heart?

Before we blush and feel uncomfortable with the headline, I want to say that the word uncircumcised is not related to our sensitive body parts. In the context of the scripture, the phrase uncircumcised heart means someone with a feeling that is not pure. They may not have any love or compassion for people, or even for themselves. They’re still stuck with hate and bitterness, and their ability to love is uncircumcised. Sometimes we may have uncircumcised hearts because we don’t like how we are being treated by others. Or, sometimes we are frustrated with how our life is going and that we have to painfully adapt to plan B. To be honest, I’m one of those people who despises plan B since I’ve always been certain about my plan A. However as a Christian, I know that is wrong in God’s eyes because it shows Him that I don’t trust His timing. God wants us to have faith and live in the spirit as mentioned in Galatians 5:25. No matter how angry or bitter we are with our change of plans or people mistreating us, we must have the habitual thought of God’s infinite capability to teach us love. And of course, having love or compassion is far greater than having a bitter or uncircumcised heart. It is my firm belief that those with an uncircumcised heart will not live forever. God loves us all, and since He created us, it’ll only make sense for us to let His pure love dwell into our hearts.

LOVE FOR GOD IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LOVE for SELF

Since we talked about the meaning of uncircumcised heart, you pretty much should know what circumcised heart is. It’s simply the polar opposite of bitter feeling for self or other people. Those with a circumcised heart is greatly in love for themselves and for other people. They are, kind, compassionate, patient and rational. God loves when people hearts are purely circumcised since they are capable of being used for His Glory. Like Job of the land of Uz for instance. With this type of heart, they can go out and preach the Gospel to people through the powerful word of God and they may be generous when people are in need for anything. God greatly rewards the circumcised hearted, but it’s important to know even circumcised hearted people can be lost in God’s glory. Instead of having a bitter or an uncircumcised heart, their circumcised hearts may have the wrong kind of spirit for God. They may be too much in love with themselves, or they may even preach the Gospel for their own desired fame and media exposure. Let’s say you’re one of most famous beloved preachers on earth. God doesn’t want you to preach to be constantly loved by the world. He wants you to preach for the love and the Glory of God Himself. That is the only definition of a pure and circumcised heart in His eyes. Sure, God will constantly reward you for preaching the Gospel and sticking to His word, but do it because you LOVE GOD. Not for the awesome rewards He gives you.

Essentially a circumcised heart and an uncircumcised heart absolutely has no value if there is no love for God in your heart. That is idealistic for an everlasting life, according to our Heavenly Father.

Peace and Love
