Happy Sunday my beautiful people! It’s another beautiful day in New Jersey, and it’s a perfect time to enjoy with your family at the beach! Before we decide to enjoy ourselves, I’d like to blog about 1 Corinthians 1:27. It states: But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. Then of course God leads on to the next verse to elaborate this statement. We will talk about it in the next paragraph. Let’s start Why God Chose The Foolish?

WHY GOD CHOSE THE FOOLISH?

If God chose an aristocratic man to save the world from sins, then we’d have a preconceived idea of a poor, insolvent man to be of no use for God’s Glory. He used the meek and the foolish purposely to show that anyone is worthy for His Glory. All part of God’s divine plan. It’s common in our society to think and feel that the foolish has no rights for respect or nobility. However according to God, He wants us to understand that it’s not required to have brilliance or power in order to become a believer. Surprisingly, people would think intellect or wealth is needed for us to be closer to God when it’s actually quite the opposite, according to Matthew 19:23. Thinking of such things actually keeps them away from trusting God since they gravitate more to worldly things. It’s easy for us to fall into the trap of worldly attractions, while it’s challenging for us to believe that God has something to offer far beyond precious. All materialism aside, it’s important to understand that there’s absolutely no shame in leaving everything what the world has to offer in order to be closer to our Heavenly Father. Those who don’t believe in God will definitely call you foolish, and those who believes in God and love the world will call you foolish for not being able to love both. God and the world are two different masters and Jesus said we cannot serve both. According to 1 John 2:15, being on both sides of the fence never worked in God’s eyes. God chose the foolish to show the world that THEY (the foolish) are actually the ones making the right decision and that the world isn’t. In essence, it’s okay for the world to think that your’e a fool as long you believe in God.

THE WORLD THOUGHT JESUS WAS A FOOL

For centuries, the world has been convicted with the idea that our dear Lord and Savior was a fool. They never understood why a mere man (so they thought) would die on the cross to save the world from sins. They thought he was so foolish to give up 33 years of His life to save a bunch of random strangers He never knew or met. Truth is, Jesus of Nazareth was the Son of God who has the ability to heal the weaklings, give blind men eyesights, and even rise them from the dead. He even know each and every one of us. He knows our life our and our innermost secrets and desires. Good and bad ones, and despite the bad secrets and desires, He still love us immensely beyond measures. Every fiber of our being, He cherishes it. “Well still, why would He love strangers Tachief?” First off, we are not strangers to him. He is the eternal Son of God who seats at the right hand of our Heavenly Father. It’s not so hard to believe that the Creator of the entire universe (including human beings) sent His only begotten Son to not only save the world but know each and every one us. It’s not so hard to believe that with how wicked and vile the this world is, God would be so loving and merciful to give us a chance at salvation using His only Son. It’s not so hard to believe that while the world isn’t perfect, there HAD to be only one man who was so that there’s hope for each and every one of us. Why is it so hard to believe in the fact that even in the year 2021, God is still letting us breathe and be alive on this beautiful earth when He could’ve destroyed it years ago. Just why would a man (or should I say Son of God) who has never sinned once in His life be called a fool for sacrificing for our sins? It’s in God’s nature for great things to happen when one makes a selfless and righteous sacrifice. According to the world, Jesus Christ of Nazareth was a fool who confounded the wise, even till this day.

Not only does Jesus loves you, but He knows you like a father or mother knows his son or daughter. Or a brother knows his brother and sister and vice versa, so therefore He does things for us like a family member do for their own blood. Jesus was no fool, He was the wise, greatly misinterpreted as one. All part of God’s DIVINE PLAN. Shalom.
